Embark – Recruitment and Diversity Within an Agile Growth Project

Background & Starting Position

The company was developing a confidential, high-growth gaming project. While the environment was creative and agile, the recruitment process lacked clear ownership and internal Talent Acquisition (TA) capacity. With numerous stakeholders involved and limited time for leadership to handle operational recruiting, there was a pressing need for a structured approach. Simultaneously, there was a growing realization that diversity needed to be integrated into the core of the business.

Mission

To help the company scale its team without hindering innovation – and to transition diversity from an ambition to a practical reality in daily operations.

Approach

We provided both operational and strategic recruitment expertise, covering sourcing, pipeline development, and process management in close collaboration with the founders and key roles. In parallel, we initiated an internal focus on diversity: establishing an internal project team, defining diversity goals, and integrating these perspectives throughout the recruitment process, from sourcing to final selection.

Results & Impact

The project successfully maintained its scaling pace while alleviating the workload for leadership and key personnel. Recruitment gained structure and credibility, supported by a stronger talent pipeline. Diversity became a natural component of how the company builds its teams, rather than a separate issue. For leadership, this meant that recruitment could be handled professionally in an early and fast-paced stage without compromising the pace of innovation.
