Nordic Finance – Structure, Leadership and Direction Through Change

Background & Starting Position

Nordic Finance were in a phase characterized by multiple parallel initiatives and a clear need for greater structure, a shared direction, and alignment on how the organization is led and developed. Leaders and the HR function were facing challenges regarding goals, accountability, and performance, as well as how to communicate with clarity in day-to-day operations – all while the business continued to evolve.

Mission

To support the organization in building a more cohesive approach to leadership, self-leadership, and HR – with a focus on clarity, direction, and long-term sustainability.

Approach

Recommended by initiated the collaboration by establishing guiding principles as the foundation for leadership and teamwork. Based on these principles, we have worked closely across the organization, including:

  • Workforce planning

  • Self-leadership and leadership development programs

  • Training in goal setting, goal-based management, and managerial support

  • Support in leadership communication – focusing on clarity, dialogue, and expectations

  • Coaching and ongoing support for the HR function

  • Strategic HR work (roles, responsibilities, and workflows)

  • Participation in projects concerning digital employees

  • Day-to-day and change-management leadership support

  • Building a performance development framework as a shared foundation

  • Support in developing job descriptions and organizational structure (ongoing)

Our work has been both strategic and operational, with a focus on making structure functional in daily practice – rather than just policy on paper.

Status & Next Steps

The collaboration is ongoing. Our focus remains on translating principles, goals, and structure into practical leadership and HR practices, as well as supporting the organization through upcoming organizational changes.
